What is psychometry?

It is a combination of psychic awareness and the ability to read energy patterns that we all leave behind on objects that are around us. It is an aid for psychics to tune in better to the sitter. It can be almost any object that the sitter has had constant contact with. I prefer watches or rings.

If an object has been passed down through the family I can pick up from the previous owner and may confuse the sitter I’m with at the time, so I always ask if the item is theirs and only been worn by them. If they have nothing to give me, then I will take their hand. I have found this is more powerful than an item of jewellery but I go with what I feel is right at the time.

Can anyone do psychometry? The simple answer is yes, It is something that anyone can learn to do but as with all skills it takes practice. They must also remember to protect themselves from negative energies they could pick up.

Do I get it wrong?

Yes I do. Its not the messages that are wrong its the way that I interpret them, so I have learned to say what I see. For example, I was chatting to a friend over the phone and we were interrupted by images I had, I explained that I could see a man and various other things which my friend confirmed, then a lady appeared in my view, my friend didn’t know who this was so I tried to get this lady to show me more information, then all of a sudden I saw Popeye, I thought it was very random and strange but I trusted what they were showing me so I told my friend that Popeye had just appeared, she knew instantly who this woman was, it was  her aunt Olive who had recently passed over. So now I always say what I see even if it seems 'silly' to me.

Giving messages to people is like being a secretary, I’m just passing on the message. I get a lot of symbols that mean something to the person I’m reading, flowers are sent to the sitter a lot, but these have more meaning with the colour that they give me.

As you can see from the previous paragraphs, I don’t always need to hold an item from the sitter. I am able to read my friends over the phone who live 200 miles away as we have a connection, this does not always work with people over the phone at the moment.

I still have loads to learn, but I enjoy the look of pleasure on the sitter's face when a loved one comes to say hello and it is confirmed that they are ok and happy.
