Care of your crystals

There are many methods of how to cleanse your crystals, and I shall be updating this all the time.

One of the most common and safe ways to cleanse your crystal is to cover it with brown rice for twelve hours.  The rice will cleanse your crystal by soaking up any negativity they hold.    You must throw the rice away after each cleansing as you never want to eat the rice full of negativity.

You may have heard that running water will cleanse your crystal, preferbly natural running water, but this is not the case for all your crystals,  Anything that ends in 'ite' should not be cleansed this way as it will damage the crystal, (flourite, selenite, calcite, sodalite, lapis lazuli is also not reccommend to be cleansed this way.)

Amethyst, citrine, smoky quartz, rose quartz, agate and many other bightly coloured crystals will fade in sunlight Opals can not be cleansed using salt as  the salt will soak up the natural water in opals and make them crack.

The moonlight can also cleanse some of your crystals.

Other methods are to bury it in the ground, but then you need to know which ones can be as the water in the soil can damage some.  There is the salt method like the rice method but again you would have to be careful which one you chose.

I would strongly recommend a book on crystals to find out what method would be best for your stone as they are all unique.
